Thermal Processing

Thermal processing is used to help achieve the required mechanical properties and lot-to-lot uniformity for many aluminum-bronze applications, including aerospace-related work. At Lone Star Casting, this work is performed in-house as part of our controlled production flow.

Typical routes may include quench hardening and temper anneal steps, depending on the alloy and end-use requirements. Keeping this capability internal helps improve scheduling flexibility and reduces dependency on outside processors.

With melting, casting, thermal processing, and machining under one roof, we can maintain tighter control over quality and delivery while giving customers a clearer line of communication from start to finish.
